Guidelines for Sick Kids and Teachers — Brookside Free Methodist Church
Teachers, Parents and Guardians,
Because sickness is a recurring issue for most of us throughout the year, we wanted to share guidelines to help you determine when you (the teacher) should stay home and (parents/guardians) to keep your child home from church activities. This list of guidelines is based on the recommendations given by the Communicable Disease Program of the Indiana State Department of Health.
If you (the teacher) or the (parent/guardian) of a child (student) has any of the following symptoms, he/she should be kept at home.

We understand that as a teacher, you have been called to teach and have a great desire to share the word of God with your students but we ask that you follow the above guidelines. Likewise, we acknowledge that children may want to go to church even when he/she isn’t feeling well, but we ask that you (parents/guardians) follow these guidelines to help prevent the spread of communicable diseases. When in doubt, the safest thing is, to keep your child at home!
